Hi there, I’m Captain T John Skiffington. Welcome to a special corner of paradise and to some of the finest flats fishing you’ll ever encounter. Besides being inspired by the natural beauty of the Glades and 10,000 Islands, you’ll be awed by the variety of species just waiting to strike, whether you’re fly fishing, using live bait, or artificial lures. Over ninety miles of shallow water flats, passes, expansive bays, and mangrove keys provide the perfect environment to target Redfish, Snook, Spotted Trout, Mangrove Snapper, and that most coveted of species, the Tarpon. The distinct sound of rattling gills as your first Tarpon of the morning breaks the surface is a sound you’ll never forget.
I love the sport of fishing. For me, nothing is more satisfying than rising before dawn, gathering my gear, and heading out for a day on the water. Whether you’re a skilled angler who can’t wait to hook into your next big catch, or a beginner who wants to learn more about the art of flats fishing, I’d like you to experience that same sense of satisfaction, of having a day well spent in the backcountry of southwest Florida.
Over the years, through extensive exploring and perseverance, I’ve located a few “hot” spots, and I’d like to share them with you. If you’re interested, go to my Rates & Booking Page for rates and general information. Hope to see you soon.
